Advanced Technology

Optical equipment including cameras and projectors are used to record and visualize the leather's processing. The nesting software works in conjunction with the technology to ensure that the leather is nested perfectly without any defects. There is also an entry-level system that offers two nesting options: 1) manual nesting templates; 2) the operator draws the leather shape, which is then nested by the software.

In-line/On-line Solutions

In-line or in-line CNC leather cutting is when all the processes are performed on the main machine.

Option 1 – In-line: The camera and projector are mounted on a gantry above the machine. Cutting and unloading are done on the same machine. This reduces overall costs and footprint, making it ideal for small and medium-sized businesses.

Option 2 – In-line: For larger businesses or users who need to cut leather in batches, the system can be expanded to include dedicated scanning stations and unloading stations. This means that while the first leather is being cut, the second leather can be scanned and prepared for cutting. Once the first leather has been cut, it moves to the (optional) unloading area, where the second leather is cut and the third leather is scanned, and so on.

Offline solution

Offline leather cutting is suitable for companies that need to cut large quantities of leather as quickly as possible.

This innovative solution consists of a separate scanning station. The scanning station or stations are separated from the cutting machine.

The hides are scanned and advanced software is used to mark and detect any defects.

The software nests templates around the defects.

A barcode is generated and attached to each hide.

The hides are then stored waiting to be cut.

As each hide is loaded onto the CNC leather cutting machine, the barcode is scanned. This calls up all the cutting information associated with that hide. No other action is required on the machine.

The hides are then cut, unloaded and sorted.

The separation of the processes ensures that both the scanning station and the leather cutting CNC machine can operate efficiently. Using a double bridge on the cutting machine can further speed up production.

1. Will cutting damage the edge of the leather?

No, the equipment uses a high-frequency vibration knife for cutting without thermal processing, and the edges are neat and not browned, and no post-processing is required.

2. Does it support the identification and classification cutting of different batches of leather?

Yes, after being equipped with a CCD image recognition system, it can automatically identify the defects, textures and contours of different leathers to achieve scar-avoiding cutting.
